Northern Michigan University’s student radio station 91.5 WUPX-FM Radio X will broadcast certain ACHA D2 Women’s National Championship games this week as the Wildcats push their way towards the title.

“It helps get the name of the program out there for those who aren’t familiar with the team,” said head coach Sean Parker. “It ties in some of the student organizations with Radio X and the club teams.”

NMU faces tournament favorite North Dakota State to open pool play on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m.. The Bison went 19-3-0 and was the top seed in the West this year.

On Thursday, NMU hosts Delaware at 12:45 p.m. before wrapping up pool play on Friday against West Chester University (Penn.) at 10:30 a.m..

If NMU is one of the top two teams in their pool, they will move onto the semifinals and will play at either 1 or 3:45 p.m.. If they win that game, the Wildcats will play for the title on Sunday. Puck drops for the championship game at 10 a.m..

The games will be available on 91.5 WUPX and can be heard worldwide on Marquette Social Scene’s Brice Burge will be on the call.
