Marquette, MI – June 10, 2015 – Marquette Breakfast Rotary announces the 23rd annual Land and Sea Benefit Dinner & Auction (commonly called the “FishBoil”) to be held on Saturday, June 27 at the Lake Superior Theatre Yacht Yard in Marquette.
The event consists of an authentic FishBoil dinner complete with barbecue ribs, cocktails and desert prepared for guests by Marquette Breakfast Rotarians. Proceeds for the event are raised through ticket sales, as well as an exciting live and silent auction consisting of nearly 100 items. The monies raised are directed back into the community to worthy programs, organizations and activities that support youth in our area.
Since 1992, proceeds from the FishBoil fundraiser total over $300,000 which has been directed back into the community to organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Teaching Family Homes, UPAWS, Peter White Public Library, YMCA of Marquette County, k-12 school clubs and activities and so many more.
“The FishBoil fundraiser continues to grow and get bigger and better each year; that’s due to the generous support of the community and the dedication of our club members,” said Cathy Enright, Marquette Breakfast Rotary President. “Giving back to the community is a big part of our mission, and raising money at the FishBoil is the one way Marquette Rotary makes a difference.”
Marquette Breakfast Rotary is committed to the development of youth in the community and focuses to raise funds for organizations that provide services and support directed at promoting healthy environments, lifestyles and activities for young people.
